Overview of Quarterly Themes
Each immersion weekend explores a unique layer of the TRAP Method, offering participants targeted experiences designed to challenge, inspire, and nurture
2. Reveal Weekend (Q2)
Focus: Explore and address personal truths and vulnerabilities.
Challenge: Participants will write down what they feel is holding them back on slips of paper and share either with a group or privately (optional disclosure). These slips will then be discarded or symbolically destroyed as a practice of letting go.
Activities:
Lecture/workshop on “Unmasking Your Inner Dialogue.”
Group yoga sequencing emphasizing hip openers and heart-opening poses.
Circle discussions or journaling exercises aiming to connect with their “hidden selves.”
Practical takeaway on how to channel revealed truths into their yoga teaching.
3. Accept Weekend (Q3)
Focus: Cultivate self-compassion and acceptance, turning challenges or shortcomings into growth opportunities.
Challenge: Guided meditation and group exercise where participants list something they want to accept about themselves, followed by creating an action step to support self-kindness around this topic.
Activities:
Lecture on “True Acceptance as a Teacher—Your Work in Progress Is Enough.”
Partner yoga exercises to practice shared balance and trust.
Grounding meditation and affirmations.
Closing reflection on how acceptance translates to their teaching style and relationships.
1. Trust Weekend (Q1)
Focus: Build resilience and establish trust in oneself.
Challenge: Participants will lay flat on a shiatsu mat for a set duration, learning to breathe through discomfort. This exercise symbolizes trusting the body and letting go. While some will manage the challenge with ease, others may struggle—and that’s okay. The goal is to create a safe yet demanding experience that encourages self-discovery.
Activities:
Morning lecture on “The Power of Trust in Yoga and Life.”
Guided practice focusing on grounding and breathwork.
Shiatsu mat session.
Peer sharing circle to reflect on breakthroughs and obstacles encountered during the challenge.
4. Practice Weekend (Q4)
Focus: Synthesize all previous learnings (Trust, Reveal, Accept) into practical applications as a yoga teacher.
Challenge: Participants will lead group sequences that incorporate elements learned throughout the year. Demonstrations of trust, vulnerability, and acceptance will be at the forefront of these final capstone sessions.
Activities:
A morning lecture on “Integration and Momentum—Your Next Chapter.”
Group teaching practice with participant feedback.
Fun community-building activities to celebrate progress.
Graduation celebration for participants completing aspects of their training.
